Lies dripped

Posted on May 29, 2013

Riddle me this, but not a tale
All your words just drip of lies
It’s a reality tainted by your perception
Some misty dimension
Stand alone, prideful in rusty armor
Smile toothless, your words have rotted your mouth
Kiss the air, pretend she’s still there
Just another web you’re tangled in
How does the quicksand get so deep
Leaving you no means to leap
You’re staying put
From your own demise
I did beg, but it came out as lies
Walking away is the last true reflection
But you’ll still fathom a happy ending
Plaguing you slowly, a mental infection
