She shelved her heart

She shelved her heart in his
Just for safe keeping she swore
Burned and shaken the shell wallows
Crumbling at the seems
without a lively beat
On her knees she prays
Courage and faith stripped she stays
His stride full and lustful
Greedy and shallow he never can see
That she gave her life to him
Her most precious gift selfless
For granted he holds his head high
Never seeing how he left her to die
