Crush my heart
Into this one little mix tape
A broken record trying to save me
When all it does is kill me slower
Go back and forth
Trying to swing into normalcy
An unattainable goal
Little boys screaming heart break
Little girls pretending to care

my porch swing faces the east so I gaze at the newly sun rise never seeing it set in the western sky with beautiful colors for ones eyes
very beautiful writing
Last two lines honestly killed me. So so good.
Thanks love! 🙂
I love the opening. That,s what we try to do isn’t It. We cram all we have in our heart into that little strip of tape well written!
I am glad you enjoyed it; it really is true, especially for young love…Thank you so much!
It is too short. You got me into the motion and you left me hanging. I will charge you kristen 😛

I’m glad you enjoyed it enough to want more!
Gorgeous first two opening lines – puts so much into words!
Thank you so much!
I agree with Derek Rizzo: The opening line is so so good…. it got me straight away. I really liked this.
🙂 I am so glad, thank you!!
Love this! So evocative!
=) thank you so much!
Your artful poetry inspires me. I went and pulled out an old book of poetry I wrote when I was about your age. It is all “old school” stuff, but maybe I’ll gather some of your courage and post some one day.
I am so glad to help you even go back and take a look at your passed writing! If you do post it let me know, I would love to read it! And thank you for the wonderful compliment!
Okay…so i did it…not as painful as I expected it might be…we’ll see

It was beautiful! You’re poetry is very well written and heartfelt, I can understand why you were nervous to put it up, but in my case it felt better to share it…there is something about being upfront with my rawest of emotions (with most complete strangers, so it makes it a judgment free zone) that helps me cope with my issues and release those negative thoughts
You said so much with so little words and oh i love the picture that came with it.
I am glad you enjoyed it!!
